Technology gone wrong

So why is it that in this age of communication where it is easier to stay in touch than ever I feel the need to carry a cordless phone and my cell phone when I am in the house?

  1. You wouldn’t have that problem if you did away with the landline… or didn’t give it out as a means to contact you, anyway.

  2. Mostly it’s calls for my wife. Plus I never know when my wife is out if she’s going to call the landline or my cell phone.

Time to simplify, but the landline is not really my idea.

What gets really nutty is that I have had her phone in one pocket because she was getting calls on it but left it behind, I had my phone in the other pocket, and the house phone sitting on the coffee table.

    *sigh*
